We aim to get your order with you within 1 – 3 working days, and if you order by midday on Wednesday, you should have your order in time for the weekend! If you are not home when the couriers come to deliver, they will leave a card and you can arrange for a redelivery at your convenience. You will receive an SMS and an email message which allows you to track your delivery.
If you have placed your order, and it has been packed in our warehouse, you will receive an order despatch email with your tracking number and delivery service. After the courier has collected the order and scanned it into their system, you’ll be able to see your order’s progress on their network.

We take great pride in our delivery service and offer the quickest and safest in the UK. Every order is shipped on an overnight service via DPD in our specially reinforced boxes.

A parcel can typically consist of up to 24 standard-size bottles but exact costs are worked out based on your selection and will be displayed at checkout. However some larger orders can/will incur further delivery charges in which you will be contacted about before shipping.
Orders for Express Delivery must be placed by 12 noon. (e.g. orders placed by 12 noon Tuesday should be delivered Wednesday, orders placed by 12 noon Friday should be delivered Monday, Orders placed after Midday on Friday will be processed Monday for Tuesday delivery).
You will first receive an order confirmation e-mail, followed by a shipment confirmation e-mail from Beer Merchants and our courier giving you details of your delivery with a consignment number for you to track your order on the courier's site. If you have checked out as a registered customer, rather than a guest and your order has been dispatched it will show as complete on your user account page. The courier can be instructed to leave with a neighbour, you will then be carded and informed where the parcel has been left.
DPD like most couriers will leave a card with contact details for you to arrange another delivery should you be out. If the courier is not contacted, they will automatically try to deliver your beers on the next two consecutive days, leaving a contact card on the first day and a card to advise of the consignment being returned to the depot on the second.
If you live in a multi-occupancy building, please can you make sure that we have the correct contact details, access information and anything else you may feel necessary to assist in the delivery of your beer. If your order cannot be delivered, your card to inform you that your order has been held may not also get to your door. We are not able to leave parcels in a communal area.
Should the goods then be returned to Beer Merchants after all attempts have failed, we will issue a full credit, or re-despatch on your instruction with the original delivery cost charged against your account. We require a signature on all parcels delivered.
Please note that we do try to minimise packing and will send multiple mixed-case orders in the same case as this makes packing cheaper and more environmentally friendly.
At certain times of the year, we experience an extra load on our services. When this happens, we always take on extra hands to get the beer to you within three working days, but please allow five particularly at peak times such as Christmas and for big beer launches.
We send you an email with tracking information as each order is dispatched. You can use the tracking number to monitor your delivery and see where your parcel is currently held.
